Is it Friday yet?

Working for salary is RIDICULOUS in a job where you work 24/7. Things can't come to a close fast enough here at Coby. I will honestly will never understand some of these students. I cannot wait for these students to go home and stop driving me NUTS! How are they driving me nuts you ask? What a great question. Let me count the ways!

1. One student instead of bringing his garbage to the garbage room threw a bag of garbage over a railing down to another floor. There was garbage everywhere but what this smart student did not realize was that they had left their homework in the garbage. Honestly, lets be a little bit smarter. Do you really think that we aren't going to figure it out when your math assignment is sitting on top of the garbage pile.

2. One room of students decided to draw phallic images all over their walls and bed frames. These same students used gorilla glue to glue a shoe to the floor, a bottle of lotion to a desk, and some change to the same desk. The one student wanted to know what was the most damage to a room that I had ever seen. Obviously, up until now, nothing as bad as that room. The same student claimed he had nothing to do with it and that he would get a lawyer if we charged him. Really? You must be out of your mind! Your lawyer will tell you to stop being stupid and pay the charges!

3. One student insists that they cannot leave until Friday because they have to go to graduation to see his friend sing (mind you, he is a Freshmen). His other reasoning was that his RA was staying til Friday. Why couldn't he? What he doesn't know is that his RA wishes he was home already. He doesn't want to stick around. There is a HUGE snow storm coming. Do you REALLY want to stay and hear your friends sing or do you just want to stay to drive me and the RA's a little nuts? This is the boy that comes to the office every day and just stands there until it is good and awkward then decides to stay for another 5 minutes after that! As an undergraduate student, I couldn't wait to get home from college. I wanted nothing more than to take my finals and leave. But no, these students want to hang around for FOREVER! Just GO HOME!

4. 2 students were playing lacrosse in the hallway and could not seem to figure out why this would be a problem during 24 hour quiet hours. Obviously playing lacrosse in the hallway is a great idea and presents no problems. Lets use our brains now children.

Now there is one group of students that I would like to stay. My RA's are a great group of students. However, I'm sure most of them are going to rebel if this snow storm is as big as they say it is going to be. If we have to keep the Res Halls open then they need to stay to close them. They will be a bunch of 20 very disgruntled students.

I am counting down the hours until 5pm on Friday. Lets see if I make it until then.
